Lala Lajpat Rai, also known as Punjab Kesari, was an Indian freedom fighter and politician. He wrote biographies of notable figures such as Giuseppe Mazzini, Giuseppe Garibaldi, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Lord Krishna. He traveled to the United States for a brief period to campaign for the rights of Indian immigrants. He was also elected to the Central Legislative Assembly, where he actively advocated for Indian independence and social reforms.
