Steps to Apply for JPSC PSC 2023

After being eligible for the exam you can fill out the application form. The steps of filling out the application form are:


Step 1: Visit jpsc.gov.in, the official JPSC website.

Step 2: Locate and select the link labelled "JPSC Apply Online 2023."

Step 3: Select "Registration" and enter all necessary basic information.

Step 4: You will receive your password and registration number on the email address you entered.

Step 5: Enter your login information from the email to log in now.

Step 6: Enter the necessary information in the online application form.

Step 7: Upload the remaining documents in the required format, together with the scanned copy of your signature and photo.

Step 8: Pay the application fees.

Step 9: Download, save, and print the completed application form for later use.

Preliminary Examination

The JPSC PCS Prelims exam consists of 2 compulsory papers. The below table consists of details about the Prelims exam.

Eligibility Criteria

Government exams have their respective eligibility criteria. The exam commission fixed the eligibility criteria for the exam. JPSC exam eligibility criteria are as follows. 


Educational Qualification: The important thing for a government exam is educational qualification, for JPSC the student should have a graduate degree from a recognized university.


Age limit: Another important aspect of eligibility criteria is the age limit. As per the official JPSC notification, the minimum age for applying is 21 years. The upper age limit will vary for different categories. The upper age limit is different for different caste categories. 


For Example, for general and EWS categories, the upper age limit is 35 years, and for Extremely Backward Classes/Backward Classes, the upper age limit is 37 years. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (For both Males & Females) age limit is 40 years, and the assigned age limit for Women (General/Extremely Backward Classes) is maximum 38 years. 


There is also certain age group is fixed for  Persons with disability is as per follows, for PwD (UR) age limit is 45 years and for PwD (BC I & II) age limit is 47 years and age limit for PwD (SC/ST) and PwD (Women - UR/EBC) is 50 years and 48 years. 


The Selection Process 

JPSC exam is a three-stage process; preliminary, main, and Interview round. The preliminary examination consists of Two Papers. After completing these two papers, you will be able to compete for the Mains examination. Once you pass the main exam you can enter the interview stage. The interview stage is of 100 marks, and you need to clear this stage to become an officer.
